Getting Help!!!

To access a WebCT Vista course site, you will need to be using a current web browser and have it properly configured. Most access problems are a result of a computers browser settings.

Before contacting the instructor, please take the time to check out the links below.

If you have problems accessing the course WebCT Vista site from your personal computer, try a campus computer in a lab or library. If you have problems accessing a quiz or other content (and have properly configured your web browser) please alert the instructor or TA and we will look into it.

Navigating the GEOG 1502 WebCT Vista Course Site

The course site has been designed to follow the general organization of the course itself. In WebCT Vista, you'll find the information you need regarding course policies, lecture, labs and resources.

The Course Menu Frame: Allows you to quickly navigate the site contents.  You can expand and collapse sections as needed.

Course Tools: The following tools are available in the Tool Bar to help you navigate quickly.
Tool bar

  • Announcements - Check the announcement regularly for important information regarding the course.
  • Assessments - Self assessment quizzes are provided to help you study. You make take the quizzes as many times as you wish.
  • Grades - Directly access your grade as exercises, labs and exams are graded.
  • Syllabus - A printable version of the course policies.
  • Discussions - Find answers or ask questions about lab exercises.

Course Structure:

  • Course Information - Information about the course, including the schedule, grading and course policies.
  • Lecture Topics - Outlines of the weekly lectures.
  • Lab Modules - Weekly lab instructions, resources and submission information.
  • Self Assessments Quizzes - The self assessment quizzes are provided to help you study. You make take the quizzes as many times as you wish.
  • Resources - Resources related to the course.
  • Exam Review - Review material will be posted prior to the each exam.
