Registration
Students will select courses in consultation with their TIRES faculty adviser. Students normally enroll in three to four courses per semester at the University of Minnesota. Most courses are 3 credits, or 6 ECTS credits. Registration for courses will be facilitated by The Global Campus.


Core Courses
Core courses for the TIRES program offered in the fall semester 2002 include: Hist 3875 Comparative Race and Ethnicity of U.S. History and Soc 3211 American Race Relations. For Spring 2003 the core course is Geog 5900 Transnational Migration and the Politics of Immigration and Xenophobia. Students participating in the TIRES exchange in Spring 2003 are required to take this course.


Optional Courses
Beyond the core courses, students will enroll in other courses that are approved by the local advisor as satisfying the TIRES curriculum. The schedule of courses has not yet been set, but students can expect to select from the following courses:
