Investigator: Grant Elliott

This is my dissertation research and I am investigating the influence of climate and latitude on ecotonal dynamics at upper treeline in the Rocky Mountains . I am particularly interested in how local and regional climate is influencing tree regeneration and seedling establishment within the upper treeline ecotone. I am also interested in whether recent climate change has altered treeline structure and to what degree this varies with latitude, especially when considering regional climate patterns.
