Old Trees in the Rum River State Forest, Central Minnesota

This is an ongoing project looking for old trees in central Minnesota to fill in a gap with relatively little dendrochronological data available. Thus far I have found several 200+ year old white oak trees (one swamp white oak at 335 years old) and some old-growth black ash (280+ years old). The potential is there...we just have to find the trees.
